Charge 

Board of Directors 

NetVU board members are responsible for determining the goals and direction of NetVU as outlined in the organization’s bylaws.  

Chapter Committee 

Engage with Chapters to ensure they have the resources needed to remain active and compliant with NetVU's standard operating procedures. Committee appointees encourage new Chapters to organize and help existing Chapters to thrive by sharing education and success stories.  

Chapter Leaders 

Facilitate meetings and educational programs of interest to NetVU members in their local area or demographic.   The Chapter Leaders keep an accurate budget for expenses that will be used by the Chapters and coordinate with other leaders, volunteers and NetVU staff to facilitate quarterly meetings.  They provide education plans to NetVU Staff annually to ensure availability of speakers and locations the following year.  “Standard Operating Procedures” are available for the leaders' use. 

Communications Committee 

Provides input on NetVU's communications process to ensure messages are concise and consistent, regardless of format or audience.  Develops a system for feedback from our internal and external communication recipients to ensure the process is two-way.  This group ensures all communications reinforce NetVU's mission, promote our vision and our strategic initiatives. 

Conference Host Committee 

Responsible for the success of the ambassador program and determining the necessary volunteer assignments for conference activities. They also recruit volunteers to help with specific assignments. 

Conference Steering Committee 

Design, develop and implement a successful NetVU Conference that encourages all NetVU members and the entire industry to participate.   

Education Committees
(AMS360, BenefitPoint, Principal Connection, Sagitta and Tech)
 

Determines the content and plans the educational programs offered at the NetVU Conference by evaluating the education needs of Vertafore users.  

Finance Committee 

Develop the annual and long term budget ensuring NetVU is wise steward of NetVU membership resources, monitor financial results, recommend actions to address shortfalls, oversee  annual audit, supervise the investment of funds and provide financial oversight.  It shall report on the financial condition of the association to the Executive Committee and Board on a regular basis. 

General Education Committee 

Provide guidance for the NetVU education programs as a whole and canvas the membership for educators and education opportunities. This committee representatives of all agencies’ interests in the specific products, putting those before their own agency needs.  This committee is responsible for focusing the education program according to the NetVU Mission and Strategic Plan. 

Industry Relations Committee 

Collaborates with insurance companies, vendors and all supporting industry organizations to cooperate in achieving seamless processing of data between parties. This is accomplished through development, and adoption of technologies that foster a uniform environment promoting productivity and efficiency within the industry.  

Leadership Development Committee 

Identify, recruit and recommend future NetVU leaders. 

Member Engagement Committee 

Maintain direction of the membership with regard to the vision, mission and strategic Plan.  Their goal is to increase member engagement by raising awareness of NetVU member benefits.  

PowerUsers Steering Committee 

Determine, design and schedule education curriculum for PowerUsers to meet the unique educational needs of this group of members. 

Research & Development Committees
(AMS360, BenefitPoint & Sagitta)
 

Works closely with Vertafore development teams with the shared goal of developing and enhancing each system to maximize the efficiency and productivity for all users. The committee relies on PERS (Product Enhancement Request System) for suggestions from the user base on how to improve the existing agency systems.  

WorkSmart Education and R&D Committee 

Determines the content, plans the educational programs and works closely with Vertafore with the shared goal of developing and enhancing each system to maximize the efficiency and productivity for all users.
